Meechi pulled the black Mercedes up to the pump, put the gas nozzle into the tank and walked inside to pay. The stereo was on to the max to drown out the sounds of Tasha banging from inside the trunk.

“You got gas cans?” he asked the girl behind the counter when he walked through the door.

“Down that last aisle on the bottom left at the end. You can’t miss em.” She pointed towards the last aisle.

“Aight.” He walked to the back, grabbed two gas cans, then took a 22 ounce Ice House out of the cooler. When he got to the counter, he put the gas cans and the beer on the counter.

“That’ll be 8.48,” she said as she rang up his things. He put a fifty dollar bill on the counter and told her, “put the rest on pump 3.”

At the pump, Meechi took the nozzle out of the trunk and filled up both gas cans. Then he put the rest of the gas he had paid for in the Benz. He put the cans in the back seat, the pump nozzle back on its cradle, and pulled away blasting an old Tupac hit with Tasha trying to beat her way out of the trunk.

Meechi drove for a little over 30 minutes to the outskirts of Minneapolis until he saw a narrow path leading away from the road.

He stopped the car a few yards before the entrance to the path until he was sure that no cars were coming. When he saw that the road was clear he pulled onto the path and followed it for about two hundred yards. It didn’t seem to want to end and it didn’t appear to be leading anywhere.

Finally he decided that he’d driven far enough so all of a sudden he turned the car and drove it into the woods, forcing the big V8 through the brush until it got stuck.

“I guess this bitch ain’t made for off-road action,” he said as he grabbed his beer off of the passenger side seat, and turned the car off and got out. He opened the back door and took out the two gas cans, sitting them next to the car on the ground. Then he walked to the back of the Mercedes. Tasha had stopped beating so Meechi pulled out his gun and tapped on the trunk.

“You still alive in there T?” he said, hitting the trunk with the barrel of the gun. “Hello?”

“Meechi!” Tasha’s muffled cry came from the trunk. “I’m sorry Meechi…please!”

“Oh, you’re alive,” he joked as he opened the Ice House and tipped it up to his lips, downing the whole thing.

“What are you sorry for Tasha?” he asked.

“I’m sorry!”

“You know what, I can barely hear you. Move all the way to the front towards the back seat. I wouldn’t wanna shoot you by mistake,” he said sarcastically as he got ready to shoot the trunk of the Benz.

“Meechi! Wait…please!” Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Meechi shot four holes in a small diamond formation almost in the center of the trunk, but slightly closer to the back.
